Because of COVID-19, many people have become more familiar with HEPA filters. To help keep your home safer from mold spores and bacteria these filters will do the job. However, there are a lot of models out there with various features. What do you need? That depends on what your concerns are. But let’s say it is mold and bacteria then the air purifier with the HEPA filter is what you want.
The HEPA filter will screen out mold and bacteria in the air. There is an additional option you also want to get, that of a UV light inside the machine as this will render the bacteria harmless within about 30 seconds or less, and endotoxins which come from the bad bacteria and are potentially fatal. Adding the UV light option can provide additional protection to your home.
So basically, as the air is sucked into the air purifier the filter screens out the mold spores and bacteria in the air while the UV light neutralizes the bacteria and endotoxins. A pretty good deal. There are many models of air purifiers with a lot more features and cost a lot more. For example, you can get an air purifier with a HEPA filter and UV light ranging from $75 to $125 for several less expensive models that can handle about 200 square feet of living space. There are bigger ones for a higher price and some with additional features.
Decide what is best for your home get a few of them for your home. It will help keep your home safe for your family.
